日本の伝統工芸技術が見直される中、今のライフスタイルとマッチしたモダンなデザインが融合されたランタンの登場です。

スピルバーグ映画のタイトルシークエンス、カーラ・ブルーニ(現フランス大統領夫人)のビデオ、百貨店ボン・マルシェのキャンペーン、長期に渡る Coletteとのコラボレーションなどでよく知られるアーティストKuntzel+Deygas (クンツェル・アンド・デュガス)が、フォルムからグラフィックまでデザインしたもの。

この犬のキャラクター、キャペリーノ・ペペローネは、Coletteの媒体の多くに使用され、その後、Vogue Nippon、コム・デ・ギャルソン、伊勢丹、カルチェ、ラコステ、メディコム・トイ etc. とコラボレートしたものです。そしてランタンはイサム・ノグチの Akariシリーズを制作することで知られる岐阜の提灯工場で制作されました。

長い歴史の中で培われた経験の中で、透光性と耐久性に優れた和紙を使用し、竹ヒゴは柔軟性に優れた竹材の内側部分のみを使用しています。

組立もいたってシンプル。5分とかからず組立可能です。

Object That Combined Excellence of Paris Design Creation and Japanese Traditional Craft !

Caperino & Peperone is the art project of narrative designers Kuntzel+Deygas. Created as an «existentialist» duet of black silhouette dogs,

Cap & Pep travel all over the planet, making amazing «TAKE OVERS» on fashion, art and lifestyle by adding their simplified shape on unexpected products and events. Characters that became Signs, Caperino & Peperone’s story is drived by Kuntzel+Deygas with an independant and creative approach, as a lifetime creation.

Since their creation in 1996, «Cap & Pep» became worldwide famous thanks to concept store Colette in Paris, dept store Isetan in Tokyo, and magazine Vogue Nippon who invites them each month. Among their very selective collaborations, one may find the names of Cartier, Lacoste, Goyard, Medicom Toys, Comme Des Garçons, Eames, Alexis Mabille… Recently they released a music compilation at Rambling Record «Caperino & Peperone art of living», and n°2 is in preparation « Caperino & Peperone art of sleeping».

The new TAKE OVER by Caperino & Peperone is the Rocket Lantern, wich is a traditional japanese paper lantern twisted into a rocket shape. By connecting excellence of the classic japanese manufacture with the witty world of Caperino & Peperone, Kuntzel+Deygas are bringing their attractive storytelling in our lives and personal environment.

This object is produced by the manufacturer who also produces the Isamu Noguchi’s “Akari” series. The assembling process is very simple and it will take less than 5 minutes.
