90年代にギタリストとして活動を開始したベルリン出身のミュージシャン。。その後、よりヴォーカルをフューチャーしたアルバムを発表する。2009年には Morr Music レーベルよりアルバム「スピーク・ロウ」をリリース。これは ドイツを代表する作曲家 クルト・ヴァイルとフレデリック・ロエベのクラシックな楽曲を肩の力が抜けたルーズなロックスタイルで消化した名盤として話題となった。アルバムカバーのイメージは、ベルリンのアーティスト/ミュージシャン、ジュリア・ガサーの作品。

Masha Qrella from Berlin started making music in the nineties playing in bands like “Contriva” and “Mina”. Since 2002 she’s also releasing more song-orientated solo-albums as well. In June 2009, Morr Music released her third solo-album “Speak Low”, that includes her versions of songs by Kurt Weill and Frederick Loewe. These images are from this album and artworks are done by Berlin based artist, Julia Guther.
