このアルバムを手にした瞬間、このスリーブイメージが、とても気に入り、モッキー本人と彼のマネージャーの協力により、Tシャツとトートバッグ化が実現しました。

このアルバム、2009年、1番のお気に入りと言ってもいいでしょう。1曲目出だしのスキャットからぐっとひき込まれます。全篇とてもリラックスしたアコースティック。ジャズ、ソウル、ロック、フォークなど様々なジャンルのエッセンスの上澄みだけをすくいとり、豊かな情感、質感、サウンドとともに仕上がった作品。ファイスト、ゴンザレス、ジェイミー・リデルが参加。録音は、セルジュ・ゲンズブールも愛用した、パリのFerber Studios です。

そして、スリーヴのデザインは、ミュンヘンをベースに活躍するデザイナー、ジーロ・ローファラー (Gero Loferer) によるもの。そして、イラストレーションは、ニーナ・ロード (Nina Rhode 別名: Ninja Pleasure)。彼女は、Gonzalesの2枚のアルバム、「Solo Piano」、「Presidential Suite」のアートワークを手がけたことでも知られる、ベルリン在住のアーティストによって描かれています。実は、ベルリンでは、Mocky、Gonzales、Nina Rhode、Thomas Morr (Morr Music 代表)、Julia Gutherなど、みんな友人で、音楽とビジュアル・アートをベルリンから発信しています。

I really liked the sleeve image of this album a lot as soon as I obtained this album. Great thanks to Mocky and his manager for the collaboration to make this happen.

This album has been the 2009 my No.1 favorite album. Mocky’s scat singing immediately pulled me into his world right in the first tune. All music and sound are relaxed acoustic and express essences of jazz, soul, rock and folk music with rich sound and feelings. Gonzales, Feist and Jamie Lidell participated recordings and recorded at the Ferber Studios in Paris which is well known as Serge Gainsbourg, Nina Simone etc. recorded.

The sleeve of this album was designed by the Munich based designer Gero Loferer with illustrations by Nina Rhode a.k.a. Ninja Pleasure who also did the artworks of Gonzales albums including “Solo Piano” and “Presidential Suite”. Mocky, Gonzales, Feist, Nina Rhode, Thomas Morr from Morr music, Julia Guther are all friends and many interested scenes of music and visual arts are created among small circle of friends in Berlin.
