“The Last One” – Parra Edition Print

今回の新作シリーズのうち、個人的には一番のお気に入り。パープルのグラデーションがとてもいい雰囲気で、ボールとクチバシまわりの色使いがとても凝っています。新作は 11点。エディション数は35から50と、前シリーズよりも少なくなり希少価値がが増しています。

プリントは日本語でいうと謄写版のプリントになります。しかもデジタル・カラー。このプリントは現在では極めてめずらしいもの。今はなきなつかしいプリントゴッコと同じ原理です。謄写版特有の粗めのプリントとザラッとしたナチュラル色の紙質との相性がとてもよく、そしてそれがParraの作風にパーフェクトにマッチしています。

もうひとつの魅力は、プリントのグラデーションが一点一点微妙に異なるところで、一点もののような楽しみがあります。

オランダで、このプリントができるところは 1軒しかなく、Parra自身がそこに通い、テストプリントを繰り返し、こだわって仕上げています。サイズが手頃で、小さめのお部屋にもパーフェクトにマッチします。フレーム入りとフレームなしのどちらもお選びいたけます。

Probably, this is my personal most favorite one. The gradation in the purple back ground is really subtle and nice, and the colors around the bowl and beak are really detailed. Numbers of each editions of the new series are less than the previous series so these will be more rare to find.

The medium is mimeograph but digital. This print is really rare. Sort of rough print looking very well matches with rough kind of paper and this combination create really nice casual and warm feeling. Furthermore, this combination well touches to Parra’s artwork perfectly.

Another attraction is that each piece is slightly different in shading and gradation so each piece is like one of a kind and it is really enjoyable. There is only one print shop in the Netherlands who can do this print and Parra directly order to them and he supervise and watch quality carefully.

The size is not too large and not too small so it also fits to small rooms. Both framed and unframed are available.
