“Rockin’ On Your Dime” Tote

“I’M ROCKIN’” は、「すごく楽しんでるよ！」という意味。そして “DIME” はお金の意味。つまり「アンタのおごりで、すごく楽しんでるよ！」という意味。こういうちょっと皮肉が効いたシニカルなメッセージをとてもポップなイメージに仕立て上げるところがとてもジェフらしい得意技です。

これは、1990年代前半、ジェフの初めての個展がハリウッドにあった X-Largeが運営するギャラリー “George’s” で開催されたときに展示された作品のイメージ。ジェフのキャリア初期の作品です。

It is one of the attractive points of the Geoff’s works which is having a cynical message but with very pop visual image.

This work is from early years of his career as it was shown at his first solo show at the George’s gallery in Hollywood (owned by X-Large) in early 90′s.  It is good to revive.
